At the iconic Thorvaldsens Museum in the center of Copenhagen, we designed MYTHOLOGIES, a special exhibition with contemporary sculptor Bharti Kher taking up the entire first floor of the museum, showcased alongside the sculptures of Bertel Thorvaldsen.

All plinths were designed for each specific sculpture and room, using inverted versions of the plaster mouldings on the existing plinths in the room as decoration throughout.

The signage throughout followed the same pattern, with a large free-standing introduction on an over-sized plinth, as well as small rosette feet carrying signs with artwork data and descriptions.
As a listed building, no signs can be attached to the walls, so everything had to be self-supporting and and fully reversible.

The exhibition was on view from Aug 22, 2025 until Mar 08, 2026.
